The Workdays programme.

Hands on a computer keyboard.Taking the Pain out of Policy and Programme Development...

Over 80 schools in Nottingham City have already developed Healthy Schools Programme accredited Sex and Relationships and/or drug policy and curriculum through our support packages over the past 2 years.

Does your school have everything it needs in place to meet the requirements?

We run bespoke training packages for primary and secondary schools to develop their curriculum and programmes for SRE and Drug Education so that they meet the required standard and count as evidence for Ofsted and Healthy Schools Accreditation.

What we offer
  • Supply cover costs to release the relevant staff
  • Space and time away from the school environment with advice and support on hand to complete the task
  • Free resources to support Drug Education and Sex and Relationships Education
  • Help and support from SRE and drugs specialists to draft a policy and programme
  • Support in action planning for implementation
  • The chance to put in place bespoke free training to support your staff to implement schemes and policy

<<For more information see the relevant section under workdays

Who should come on the workdays programme?

The workdays programme is task-focused and practical. It is for those who plan and implement drug and/or sex and relationships curriculum and policy for the school.

You may wish to attend the workday programme if:

  • You are or intend to act as SRE or drugs coordinator
  • You are responsible for planning and implementing PSHE
  • You are SMT lead for drug/SRE curriculum and policy development
  • You have the endorsment of your SMT to undertake the tasks necessary to develop policy and programme
  • You are a governor with responsibility for policy development

Briefing Sessions:

We run introductory twilight sessions to enable you to decide on the level of support you may need and ascertain how well your school already meets the requirements for both drug education and SRE.

More than one member of staff or governors may attend the briefing sessions.

Details are in the events diary >>

The workdays:

We will reimburse supply costs for up to two members of staff to attend the workday. Governors are welcome to attend alongside teachers but we cannot pay expenses or cover for them. In addition to we will reimburse two further days supply costs for those staff members to help complete the planning work. Details and forms for this will be given on the day
